Climate change: A human perspective
with UNICEF student team Amsterdam
The event is organised in cooperation with the Amsterdam UNICEF student team and will focus on sustainability regarding children’s and more broadly human rights in relation to climate change. The fundamental rights are impacted by climate change damages in a number of ways. The lecturer will explore how environmental consciousness and responsibility are becoming increasingly crucial to safeguarding human rights in impacted communities across the world and especially in the Global South.
UNICEF is an international organisation working in over 190 countries and territories across the globe to save children’s lives, safeguard and defend their rights as well as help them attain their full potential. The organisation is involved in different areas within the society such as child protection and inclusion, child education, gender equality, innovation for children and more. It also tries to reach quickly the emergency zones in order to help families and children with lifesaving aid and long-term assistance.
