What is the mind? How does it relate to the brain? And (why) do we consciously experience the world? In this exciting lecture philosopher Dr. Leon de Bruin will address the perspectives throughout history and the fundamental questions that drive one of the most interesting fields of philosophy.

For many years, dr. Leon de Bruin has written and lectured on topics at the intersection between philosophy, psychology and neuroscience. Using a carefully selected sample of intriguing questions, vivid thought experiments and enlightening arguments, he is able to give accessible and in-depth lectures on past and contemporary philosophical debates.

Perspectives on Neuroscience is a lecture series of Het Klaslokaal that explores the human brain.
Our brain is considered to be the most complex object known today, and how it works is still largely a mystery. Understanding how it works, as well as its enigmatic relation to the mind, involves the joint efforts of widely different researchers and theoreticians. Our increasing understanding of the brain is likely to permeate and transform many aspects of our lives in the future.
