by Marieke van Doesburgh
Physicists strive to uncover the rules that govern nature.Obtaining an accurate theory of gravity has been on their agenda for thousands of years, dating (at least) all the way back to Aristotle. Newton had a go at it, but it is Einstein's theory that to this day most accurately describes the fundamental force of gravity. Marieke will discuss some of her favourite Einsteinian predictions, and how mankind is able to test them. Expect all things gravitational: waves, black holes, neutron stars and beyond.
