THURSDAY 09 MARCH
Oko Ebombo is a Paris based singer/performer on the rise. With this show he and his band make their long-awaited Dutch debut. Oko is a well known bon vivant in the Parisian creative scene. He started out as a professional dancer more than a decade ago, moved into filming and photography, has been modelling for various fashion campaigns and recently moved into music to tell his personal story. His band will play a palette of modern and exciting fusion of jazz, soul, world and electronic music, which lay the foundation to which Ebombo tells his coming-of-age story; the struggle of growing up in the slums, breaking out and trying to make it in the City of Lights as a young individual.
Ebombo is no stranger to Amsterdam, he regards the city as his second home and Patta as his family away from home. Patta co-founder Guillaume Schmidt: ‘Oko has always been a shining star and the man is talented in so many ways. His talent and friendship makes working together a no-brainer.’
